School students from Thuwal and Jeddah got excited by science when they took the opportunity to participate in KAUST Research Open Week (KROW). Hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research, the purpose of KROW was to showcase the Science and Engineering Excellence at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) under the theme of Sustainability: Science for the Future

Students from the Young Learners Development Program (YLDP) spent the week at KAUST as it presented selected highlights from its science and engineering research across the University’s major focus thrusts of Energy, Environment, Water, Food & Health, and the Digital domain. In addition, the KAUST Core Labs and Research Centers opened their doors to give all visitors the opportunity to explore what they do.

Inspired by STEM and its many possibilities after a full week of engaged learning, the YLDP students said they’d definitely return to school to work harder.
