Computer Literacy Training

The Computer Literacy program is designed to increase the employability of young adults in Thuwal by providing them with basic computer skills and knowledge.

Delivered over two months by KAUST volunteers with professional IT backgrounds, the course teaches participants how to perform basic functions and understand common vocabulary and technology.  By the end of the course, participants are expected to have gained knowledge of computer concepts; understanding of common software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software; the ability to work in fundamental operating systems; and, the ability to use computers in a secure manner.  At the conclusion of the course, participants will present on a group project and receive a certificate of participation at program’s graduation ceremony.

The training course is tailored to adults aged 18 to 38 from Thuwal, who have been nominated by the Thuwal Association Center based on their demonstrated commitment to self-development.
