Thuwal Beach Cleaning Day

As part of the KAUST strategy for Sustainable Development in Thuwal, Social Responsibility invited members of its Alumni to take part in a Beach Cleaning Day in Thuwal.  The project included an awareness session about plastics pollution in the marine environment, cleaning of Thuwal beach and marina and a painting activity to remove graffiti and smarten up the beach facilities.

The team on the day included KAUST Alumni, Green Group members, the Social Responsibility team, members of the Thuwal and Thuwal Fishermen Associations, teachers and students from the environmental group at Thuwal Boys School and Thuwal Coastline workers.
