The Water Awareness Campaign was targeted at the KAUST community, engaging children from The KAUST School and their parents.  This region is one of the most water scarce regions on earth, and this makes fresh water more valuable to us than to any other place, so this campaign was designed to highlight the importance of water and encourage people to value it more.

The campaign was a joint venture between Social Responsibility and the KAUST Student Chapter of the International Desalination Association.  The IDA conducted a survey to gather statistics of water consumption in the KAUST community.  The KAUST community was invited to an afternoon of events and water-related games at Discovery Square to learn about their water consumption and strategies how to save and value our water resources.
